Portfolio

My work ranges from flushed out sketches to full videos and renders produced for school or competitions. The list runs newest to oldest.

Rutendo is the name of my original character, a thief with no arms who works with his magical scarf to steal for survival. He is in the process of being rigged, but currently put on hold as of April 2017.

For the SkillsUSA animation competitions, two people are partnered to produce a short, 30-60 second animation based off of a prompt and have 6-8 hours to complete it (depending on the competition level).

This video was produced for the SkillsUSA 2017 District competition with the prompt “What Grinds My Gears.” Takuma Fujiwara created the storyboard and animated the scene. I did the character design, scene layout, models, textures, lights, and editing.

“Into the Sunset” was the prompt for this 6 hour practice animation. I worked with Takuma again, doing the same roles as last time, but in this I was able to utilize a color scheme.

RATions is a video game for SkillsUSA 2017 that was a district competitor. My art pipeline in designing and modeling the characters are shown in blog posts on this site.

Loving Gaze Cover

Above was a couple portrait of the man and woman of the house. The player can see it framed on a wall in-game. My drawing competed in the SkillsUSA 2017 State Advertising Design Illustration Competition.

TRUE FINAL RENDER

The 3D render, “Swiss Cheese,” is a cover for RATions that depicts the sneaky feel of the game. It competed in the SkillsUSA 2017 State Animation Technology Exhibit and won Best in Show. The documentation for this render can be found here: SwissCheeseFolder

Hochmeister is a video game that competed in the SkillsUSA District 7 Game Design Competition in 2016.

For SkillsUSA 2015, I submitted a 3D render that competed at state.

Miscellaneous:

On the rare occasion I do photography. These photos were taken around Carter Lake in College Station, Tx.

In 2014, I created the Pokémon, Shellder. I modeled, UV mapped, and textured the little guy.

For advertising design, I applied for the Texas Hospitality Association Scholarship requiring a poster designed around “If you are under 21, it is illegal to consume or purchase alcoholic beverages in Texas” and submitted this:
